Her new book, I Belong to Me, is really about that part. Not just what happened to her, but how you put yourself back together after.
We talked about complicity. About how you can’t just blame the system forever. At some point you have to look at yourself and ask what you carried forward.
We talked about grief too. Not just what you lost, but what never got to happen, and what it takes to become someone you can live with.
